Dad has been hooked back up to a type of ventilator through his trach because his right lung has decided to partially collapse too now. I'm no nurse but perhaps it is because of the pneumonia? Nevertheless, his lungs need our prayers right now.
Dad was overjoyed (in his own special way) when I (along with Amberlie) reported to his bedside after returning from Christian's basketball game this afternoon. As we told him who went and the happenings of the game his eyebrows were bouncing to and fro and he was squeezing my hand repeatedly. He was so happy to hear that Christian scored 10 pts. in the game! Dad has always supported ALL of Christians games and anything else he has been interested in. I know it meant a lot for us kids to gather together in support of Christian when he couldn't. Christian had a great idea for us to video tape it next week and bring it for Dad to watch at the hospital. It's a done deal!
Kirby, My thoughts and prayers are with you everyday. May you breath a little easier as each day progresses. All your children and your grandchildren need you in their lives. Love to you, Robert's Mom
ReplyDeleteThanks so much to all the kids for supporting Christian at his BB game! That's the best he's played and I'm sure it's because he feels your love. I also really appreciate that you've taken him under your wings at the hospital. He's having to grow up alot with this experience. It's been good to see him trying to help Kirby be more comfortable and serve him some, since his dad's done so much for him. We are pulling for you Kirby and praying that you can recover soon. Thanks again to all Kirby's children and their families! Love to you all, Christian's mom, Kathy
